My name is Adetayo Adefioye. I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to the United States in 2016 to play soccer at Knox College. There, I studied psychology and philosophy. I have overcome many significant obstacles including: single-handedly paying for my entire college, creating a stable life as an immigrant in this country, and sponsoring my four sisters’ education in Nigeria. I am now focusing on how individuals find and feel successful in life.

 

For me, I start by setting goals. Goals could be things I want to accomplish within the day or achievements that will take me years to finalize. It’s easy to get discouraged or feel like you’re not making any progress along your journey, but I find success is going to sleep each night knowing I made even a little headway on the goals I have created.
